this new blogsite is titled "this is me"..so here's a story of self-discovery that contributes to this new theme

the other day i wore my yellow waterloo sweater to school..

someone came up to me and said "you are such a WATERLOOser"..aka..a student at the university of waterloo

did it offend me?......................no................... and know why??

cuz i am and always will be a WATERLOOser at heart..it's juss who i am and i can't change it

a little girl in a big city..

i've been to Toronto before but have never experienced it quite like this..living downtown in the heart of the city has opened my eyes to so many things i never knew existed..it is definitely an experience i think everyone should have some time in their life..

my weekend was full of exploring the shopping, dining + lounging opportunities of this never-sleeping city..it started out by meeting up with friends and walking down yonge st to the eaton centre..

dinner was at the pickle barrel..this restaurant was a beautifully lit, 2-level dining place with walls separating tables for privacy..it was the perfect place to sit, eat and catch up with the girls..

we then watched the over-crowded live beyonce concert and proceeded to the yonge/bloor area..we ended up at panorama where we lounged on the 51st floor of the manulife building..the atmosphere was so elegant and peaceful with an incredible view..

bright and early the next morning, we went for starbucks and sat near a rock..we juss kinda sat, talked about life and watched the city wake up..there were people walking their dogs, running, shopping, reading the paper and playing with their children..

it's definitely been a hard transition to leave a place and the people i love..so this weekend juss reassured me things will be okay..i'm sure this weekend is the first of many where i am reminded of how wonderful life can be..taking in and living my new life while having some of my bestest around to enjoy it with me was amazing..
